Formed over a decade ago, LaTiDo is equally inspired by the traditional Cuban sounds of the Buena Vista Social Club sound as by 70’s New York salsa and the current pop dance Marc Anthony style. With a fun repertoire spanning from mambo, cha-cha-chá, guajira, cumbia and merengue to bachata, LaTiDo will set the dance floor on fire. The evening kicks off with a dance lesson by Alvaro Batista and DJ Felipe el de la clave. You won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to see and hear this amazing line up of young and veteran Bay Area Latin music and dance masters in an intimate setting.
It has been a while since Marin County and San Rafael areas have had a venue such as the "Seahorse" to enjoy Latin Music on a regular bases. With plenty of parking, a great sound system, Italian food and wine, pet friendly and all ages welcome policies, plus a nice combination of diverse level dancers, Seahorse is the desired place to be on Sundays! www.sausalitoseahorse.com
My name is Edgardo Cambón.
I want to welcome you to my SALSA BAND "EDGARDO & CANDELA'S" web site.
The word CANDELA has many related meanings in Spanish: candle, fire, measurement unit for luminosity, it's also often used to describe a hot tempered character or to compliment someone's good looks, but most significantly, in the old days drummers would light a small fire by the street curve, to heat up and thus tune their congas and other type of hand drums: "Darle CANDELA al tambor" ("Set the drums on fire".)
The name CANDELA, has described very well the energy and intensity of this great Bay Area, San Francisco, Oakland Salsa Band live performances for well over two decades now!
